Review of Lessons with a Grandmaster:
I was looking for something new to read, and while checking the titles at my online book store, I saw only the title of the book, no picture or author name... Immediately I was drawn to the title and went ahead and clicked. I was pretty impressed to see a book from Boris Gulko. Given the title, I was quick to judge the book as something more for the U2000 category list of players. Luckily, I was able to get a copy of this book, and I was really impressed by format and lessons in the book. The lessons are not structured by topic, but by game, however dont be disappointed. This is certainly an excellent book because you will find very few players that possess the knowledge and experiences that Gulko possess. I would buy this book just to read the comments made by him. It's rare to find instruction from a GM, its even rarer, to find some one with Gulkos particular knowledge. I highly recommend this book, and would not be surprised if it is later this year regarded as one of the best of the year.
