Finally reached 1800+ in blitz after 5 years of taking Chess seriously
Finally, I have reached my highest rating in Blitz on chess.com after almost 5 years of taking up chess seriously.
I started in 1100 group few years back and I still remember all the vague and silly moves that I used to make. I have progressed a lot after a lot of tactics training and learning a few openings. Chess has a lot to teach in you life and one thing that it teaches you the most is that "Progress in life doesn't happen in a jiffy but over time."
I would like to thanks chess.com for all the games that I got to play online that has been a rewarding experience. I also would like to thank chessbase software for helping me learn openings and other chess literature.
I know it's a little weird to acknowledge intangible objects for your success but those were the things that helped me get better at chess. And, of course, there is perseverance and consistency.
"Rome was not built in a day, and so was your Chess, your body, your whatever. It takes time, my friends. Have patience. "
You will reap what you sow.
And on that note here was the game that got me to 1800+ benchmark.
