Greetings,

The Colorado Springs City Chess Championship ended Round 4 with a clear winner.  4-time City champ, Dan Avery, lead the field with 3.0 points and just needed a draw to regain his title.  However, I turned down the draw offer, found the right move, and went on to win my 2nd City Championship.

Even though the event was unrated (eliminating Tim Brennan from contention), some fun chess was played including this position from Earle Wikle (white to move):
