Losing with the French 1 (ann. game incl.)
Today I had the opportunity to play an ever longer game (19/0). I played black, defending against e4 with the French, getting a good pressure on the kingside in spite of material loss, disrupting the pawn defense just like Chernev suggests in "Logical chess". BUT I never found a winning combination, White defended the f3 square too well and though in time trouble (just 14 secs left) he found a way to mate me.
Where, oh where were the winning moves?...
(I have posted this game in the "game analysis" forum as well, so maybe further analyze can soon be found there. The name of the thread is "Any overlooked combinations?")
