Sunrise, morning churn on the river,
Rolling rhymes a rapper might deliver,
Gathering spot for Sac and Fox
To trade pelts, tobacco and flint rocks,
Civil War valor enshrined in graves,
How many fought and died to free the slaves?
Blue uniforms with glod filligree,
So many died for love of democracy.
Railroads came and factories were built,
Serpentine carriers moving full tilt.
The industrial age left it's mark,
And we built nukes, that horrible spark.
