The three ways to image a square's point

I started playing chess when I was 35. It was difficult to image a square's point without seeing a board. But now that's easier for me than before. I image a square's point with three ways.

1) Imaging a square's point as on the corner of the box.  

For example, Imaging c4 and f6. 




2) Imaging a square's point on the 4 x 4 squares.



3) Imaging a square's point with 2 x 2 squares.
