In the thick of it
I'm 15 moves into my first three online games, and it's clear I have a lot of rust to clean off the chess pipes. Slowly or not so slowly the nooses constrict, and my opponents inch to victory with small inexorable advantages. I'm happy to be holding up as well as I am. At least I am through the openings and into middle-game play. I have also downloaded ChessCat so that I can keep PGN's of all my games and revisit them when desired--another plus for ongoing training.
So far I am grateful to Chess.com. Even at this lowest, free level it has introduced me to so many ways to keep a lively interest in chess going, and to make friends worldwide while doing so. Thank you, Chess.com!
