So, what was the turning point in the game? Is this just the difference between a 2100 and a 2400? Chessbomb suggests that 20... bxc4 was the biggest blunder. I wonder if the real mistake might have been 14. ... g6. Trading black's dsb for a knight on the king-side might have been acceptable (it was kind of trapped there and shortly after was thrown at g5 anyway...) and getting black's queen over to the king-side might have been more useful than being completely fixed at c7 for the whole game.
This is all coming from someone who just got a USCF membership for the first time at 24... so, what do I know? =P
