Kramnik surprises in Berlin

The GM and Ex-Champion of the World, the Russian Vladimir Kramnik, started with an unexpected force the Candidates Tournament that started in Germany. After three rounds, he leads with 2.5, followed by GMs Fabiano Caruana of USA and Azeri Shakriyar Mamedyarov; to follow with 1.5 the GMs Ding Liren of China and Alexander Grischuk, with 1 surprises the favorite Armenian GM Levon Aronian and the Russian GM Sergey Karjakin and of last figure the American GM Wesley So with 0,5. The event has shown a great level of struggle, with games of very high technical level.

At the national level we highlight the triumph of the National Champion, MI Oscar Zavarce, in the WITT "Isla de Margarita". The Larense accumulated 7 points out of 9 possible and overcame MF Kelvin Sanchez in the Tie-Breaking System, third place MI Julio Ostos finished with 6 points.
