The 20th Dubai Open ended with the surprise victory of the Argentine GM Diego Flores who managed to accumulate 7.5 to 9, finished second radiantly the GM Eduardo Iturrizaga Bonelli (Caracas) with 7 points, after playing an excellent standard and overcome the tie-breaker system for Sethuraman GMs from India and Ahmed Adly from Egypt. The event was attended by 158 chess players from 33 countries. Good for ours, which shone before a pleiad of 36 GM from the five continents.

The North American GM, next world title challenger, Fabiano Caruana triumphed in a convincing way in the Grenke Tournament, in Germany.
