The Internet Criminals

I just received an email with the subject line...NOTICE TO APPEAR IN COURT.  Coincidently, since I DID get a traffic ticket the other day (oops...guilty as charged) I ALMOST actually opened the attachment.  Glad I didn't.

............................................................................

.....................................................................................

.....................................................................................

I then did a quick internet search on the subject line.

And of course, it's a scam.

The slime that sent this email had attached

malware called Kuluoz,

which then installs

the malware FAKEAV.

FAKEAV flashes false security alerts that lure victims into purchasing

fake antivirus software, then connects to its affiliate network to

download even more malware, which looks for your

passwords in network packets...

and then sends them to a remote site.

So beware...don't leave your valuables unlocked.

...and watch those speed traps!!
