January Thaw - Round 3
In Round 3 I had to face my old friend (and chess nemesis) James Skovron. He offered me a draw after only ten moves, and I took it because neither one of us was in the mood for a late-night meatgrinder that didn't look promising for either side. As we stood up to leave, we drew scowls of consternation from around the room. In our defense, though, we retired to a local brewery and rapidly played the game out to a draw. Much better use of time.
