Keith Richards, Bill Clinton & More on Life. . .
Back in 2010 I bought, and read, and enjoyed (and blogged on) the book Life, the autobiography of Rolling Stone Keith Richards ~ English rocker ~ one of the greatest iconic, guitar gods in the history of music.
A man who walks his own path, speaks his own mind, and does his own thing.
If you have not read my original blog, it is a great take on the man and you can find it here:
He has been described:
The heart and soul of the world’s greatest rock ’n’ roll band;
The very avatar of rebellion;
The poète maudit;
The soul survivor and main offender;
The torn and frayed outlaw, and the coolest dude on the planet;
Named the No. 1 on the rock stars most-likely-to-die list and. . .
The one life form (besides the cockroach) capable of surviving nuclear war
Recently, in New York, he was awarded the Norman Mailer Literary Prize for Distinguished Biography and honoured for his way with words.
He was introduced by an unlikely friend ~ Bill Clinton, whom he affectionately calls ‘Pres’ or ‘Bill’!
The former president calls the old 67 year-old rocker "my friend" and ‘a good guy’. . .
Here’s an enjoyable insight into the presentation and their association . . .
