I found a cache of old chess games on the internet. The openings are interesting enough for a second look. Game #8

Chess Arena 3.0 calls this opening The French: Tarrasch, closed, 7.Ndf3. The critical position is 1.e4 b6 2.d4 Bb7 3.Bd3 e6 4.Be3 Nf6 5.f3 d5 6.e5 Nfd7 7.Nh3 c5 8.c3 Nc6 9.O-O Qc7 10.Nd2. Black can get away with playing either c4 or f5(I wouldn't play either). He plays both and the game crumbles around him. I would have freed up the game with 10...Be7 or 10...Qc8
