Sir,
I have a boy of 8 years and he is a student of Taleigao Chess Academy since last October 07.
Taleigao Chess Academy had organised children chess tournament in Sep at International Centre. My son participated and then we took him to Academy.
We know Shrikant Barve and his passion for chess since then. He tells us how bad that AICF circular in regards to remunaration to chess coaches.
Think that surprise is that when Barve had appologise on March 21 regarding his comment on Gomantak times outburst, how is that he was suspended from Chess acativites on March 27 in presence of GSCA President Sameer Salgaocar. For this reason I feel that Sameer Salgaocar is fully responsible for mess that is errupted in Goan Chess.
I had also read those filthy comments on Sameer Salgaocar blog spot www.goanchess.blogspot.com .
In recent past only Taleigao Chess Academy is organising chess events. Activites of all other organisation has dried up.
Sameer Salgaocar must answer and sort out this mess quickly.

Dear Madam,
If that is the case as you make it out to be, then why did
your friend Mr. Shrikanr Barve congratulate me and the
entire AICF team on our reelection for the second term
in the month of June 2008?
Why has Mr. Barve sung our praises in
his book 'The Right Move'? Please examine
your own conscience and then send
such absurd letters to the press.
Regards.

Sir,
I really appriciate your contribution to chess. But fact of the matter is Why are you harrassing Barve.
Is he doing any harm to chess? Is he doing anything against you? Is he said any thing bad againt you or AICf or GSCA?
His only concern is betterment of CHESS and chess players.
He had rightly raised question regarding remunaration to coaches. Mr. sunder says "AICF has Rs.90 lacs surplus" and it is almost six months since annoucement of Coaching programe, not a single one till date, (I just checked AICF website). Has any of players going to represent INDIA at Asian championship got any coaching facility through AICF?
Don't divert attention from the issued that I had raise such as....
"Think that surprise is that when Barve had appologise on March 21 regarding his comment on Gomantak times outburst, how is that he was suspended from Chess acativites on March 27 in presence of GSCA President Sameer Salgaocar. My child is not good at chess and therefore you can least harm me. But those parents of Nitish, Anant, Gouri, Zhosha, Rishbh, Snehil and many others are worried to say a ward...
I am not a frequent visiter to net. I will again visit net next week. Please be franck in your answer. If in that case only I will answer you next time.....

Madam,
I am not harassing Mr. Barve at all. It is he
who is irritating all the GSCA members and
the Goan chess fraternity.
I was extremely sad when he got
suspended. I wish that incident had
never happened. However, the incident was caused
by him as I had already given him a chance to rectify
his errors and his apology is on the record.
My open offer to him always had been that
he should have come to Chennai and voiced
his opinions in front of the entire AICF body.
What he is posting on every blogsite all across
the world is only harming the image of Goan chess
and Indian chess and that has got him suspended.
GSCA has some extremely dedicated people like
Mr. M.R. Naik and Mr. Suhas Asnodkar. Why is Mr. Barve
raising issues about the legitimacy of GSCA? If
GSCA is finished will it help Mr. Barve? Will it help
you and all the other parents of the kids you have
mentioned? Please think carefully about this and give
your reply.

The AICF coaching schemes have already started. In
Rajasthan, FIDE Master Shantaram is presently
coaching. IM Anup Deshmukh and Saheli-Dhar Barua
will be conducting camp in New Delhi in last week of
July. IM Chandrasekhar Gokhale is going to coach
in Goa in first week of September.
AICF is doing tremendous good for chess and especially
for the kids. This year Subjunior team may be going abroad
on exposure trip. Senior and Junior team (of which Bhakti
is a part) has been going past couple of years. The money
which we have saved (90 lakhs) will be used for chess.
What did the previous regime of Mr. Koya do with the
money? How did he loot AICF, I do not need to tell you
but you will hear it from all the people who have been in chess
before you arrived.
I still wish that there is peace and harmony in Goan chess. How
to bring that about with constant bombarding on the Internet
and the media I do not know.
Perhaps you can guide me on this?
Regards.

Mr. Salgaocar,
I would have taken pains to solve this issue but the real problem is you are not ready to answer my straight forward question.
If you had given links to blogs where Barve has posted anything wrong that would have helped me.
Barve has in his press release accused you and also said that You are successful in throwing him out of his passion and earning livelyhood.
I dont want to continue this discussion further only because you don't want to answer real question. "Why all this mess come in Goan Chess from March 5 2008".

Dear Madam,
I too do not want to continue
any discussion with you.
You can address all your further
queries to the Goa State Chess
Association directly instead of
repeatedly marking copies to the
Navhind Times.
