Carlsen rules

Jul 2, 2009, 1:38 PM 2

Dortmund tournament just started today and Magnus Carlsen won his first game against Russia's top rated player Dmitry Jakovenko in the Ruy Lopez Berlin. One of the things I like about Magnus is that he's different from many GMs who just want to keep it safe and go for a draw, shake hands, take the money and go home. No, he won't take a draw offer and will be looking for his chances, just like in this game, he will just try to squeeze the win till the end. Hopefully he'll be a world champion someday.
