Game 48: Lose an early Pawn, Play too fast

This game is against Morris, played Jun 3rd, 2014 at the Burlington CC.  I guess the law of averages is catching up, as I have tended to win more often than lose against Morris.

I admit to playing faster than I usually do, and not taking enough care.  In addition, Morris was on his game, and made all the right moves.

I lost a pawn in the opening, but I think I had enough compensation in development to even it out.  Still, I think the bishop's placement on d3 instead of c4 would have been better to save the pawn.  Later, I had the 2 B's but there were enough pawns on the board, that it was hard to take advantage.  A premature attempt at cracking the Kingside, and my initiative was gone.  I probably should simply have finished developing.
