Spiteful, childish, annoying, there are many words to describe those guilty of "violating the Fair Play policy". Serial disconnecters, those who intentionally disconnect in a lost or losing position, are a well known problem for regular Chess.com players. I can understand why they do it, it's too painful for their inflated egos to resign, and making an opponent wait is the best payback for being soundly beaten in a fair game. Of course we block the players and sometimes leave a "friendly" note to warn other users, but to quote a famous song, "why are we waiting"? Maybe it's time to shorten the time given to reconnect back to one minute. I sometimes disconnect due to internet issues, but I would gladly forfeit those games to save time during the long wait for a "time win". Let's start the campaign!
