Tin Cup U1750 Day 1

Feb 18, 2017, 9:16 PM |

Hi everyone!

I am back with another blog. I just finished a weekend tournament held in King's Christian College from the 11th to 12th of February. In this blog to share my games, thoughts and analysis with you all! This tournament is restricted to players under 1750 Australian Chess Federation rating and the time control for this tournament was 60 minutes plus 10 seconds per move.

Day 1: 11th of February 2017

 Round 1:

Was pretty happy with that game, a nice clean win to start off!

 Round 2:

Round 2 was pretty decent. My opening was unfamiliar with the opening so I didn't encounter any troubles.

 Round 3:

It was a good feeling holding off a played more than 300 points above me. I felt there were some chances that I missed in trying to push for a win especially with trying to push my "h" pawn, but overall was pretty happy with my mostly solid play in that game.
With those 3 games finished on day 1, I end the day with 2.5/3 which was a pretty good start for me so I was happy about it. Stay tuned for day 2 to see if I managed to keep up my good run at the 2017 Tin Cup! If you have any questions, comments or suggestions feel free to leave them in the comments below! Thank you for reading day 1 of the 2017 Tin Cup and I hope you enjoyed reading this.
