Failing to Capitalize on Winning Positions
Dec 14, 2014, 10:52 PM 2
Hey chess.com, today I'm sharing a 15|10 game played about an hour ago. In this game I get a huge advantage after my opponent played a bad opening, only to throw it away on move 37 when he could have gone for a perpetual check. Even worse, on move 39 I blundered yet again and, up a full rook in the ending, he would have no problems queening one or both of his connected outside passers. It was a fun game with a frustrating finish.
NEVER LET YOUR GUARD DOWN, EVEN WHEN CLEARLY WINNING.
