Got a little to cocky this week. Oh and played my 1rst 960 games as well

So chess wise this week I started off really well sunday. I play with two other guys at starbucks on sunday. They are both better than I and had not beaten either one of them in the couple months we had been playing. That was until this past sunday when in my second game against Nick I finally won. The first game we played was very tight he needed two queens to put me away. So I was feeling very good about myself. I followed it up mondey beating someone that I had previously lost to in a standard game. Needless to say I felt invincable. That was until yesterday and today.

I have been playing some games online you know the type that you can play over a couple of days. One of the groups I am in even had a challenge from another group for 960 games. So since I was rolling I figured I would jump right on it. I mean how could I lose right?

Well to start off I have been dropping pieces like the Republicans have been dropping in the popularity polls. Lots and lots of bad play. Then I had no idea of how to play 960 and played even worse in those two games. So now I have lost 6 games in a row since monday. Man am I taking a beating.

Ok so I might be taking a beating, but you know what. I will bounce back. I just need to get back to the basics and stop trying to be fancy. Like in my other blog it has been a long time since I have played this frequently. Its a learning process right? Right...positive attitude. Lets go get em.
