After talk of King's Indian Attack on the forums I decided to try it out myself in a game of blitz.

I absolutely hate playing blitz chess because of time constraints. I would rather have time to contemplate "better" moves rather than making a constant string of bad moves (as is so beautifully illustrated in this game).

Anyways, this is my first attempt at playing KIA. I think KIA is a very solid system for beginning players like myself because it:

  • Creates a solid king-side defense.
  • Allows attacks on center.
  • And allows room for a queen-side attack.
