IT IS INTERESTING. A bit of history

By the way, were in Vienna in August 2013
To imagine Lenin and Hitler behind a chessboard is extremely difficult, because these two people were not only representatives of different generations, but also political figures in different historical epochs.

They both lived in Vienna in the first decade of the twentieth century. Hitler at that time was little more than twenty years. He was huddled in small apartments on the third floor of the apartment building on Felberstrasse. Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, a passionate admirer of chess, also lived nearby.

And both politicians were in a depressed moral state. Hitler was not admitted to the Vienna Academy to study painting, and Lenin could not return to Russia because of political persecution against him.

Here begins the most interesting thing about which historians are arguing.
Lenin was to meet with Trotsky in order to discuss the content of illegal literature sent across the border to the Russian Empire. It was here in the heart of Europe and almost in the center of Vienna in 1909 at the cafe "Cafe Sperl" at Gumpendorfer Strasse 11-13 a meeting between Lenin and Hitler. Lenin was waiting for Trotsky, he always loved to be late by nature, and Lenin analyzed the position on the chessboard that was in the cafe, but Adolf Hitler just went to drink tasty coffee. Coffee has long been deliciously prepared and is now being prepared in that cafe. The tradition has survived and the chessboard has survived.

Now this cafe is one of the prestigious and expensive cafes in Vienna
