Greetings! My name is Cecilia, and I’m a small town, country girl who enjoys the little moments in life - strumming my guitar in the sunshine, dancing in the rain, singing through joyful tears in the sunset, in awe of God’s creation; watching the sunrise every morning, knowing that the Lord’s mercies are new each day, for great is His faithfulness; walking barefoot in the grass, running through a lush forest on a spring morning, and sitting in a coffee shop, reminiscing over past times - these are just some of the things - miracles - that I love about life, and that God has blessed me with.

I am very fond of the outdoors, and enjoy almost anything that involves nature. I am an avid runner, and enjoy it very much because it reminds me of Hebrews 12:2, which says, “And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” When I run for miles on end, I have to muster up the perseverance to continue on, and not give up. In a certain sense, running is like a metaphor for life. We have to remember our goal in life, and fix our eyes upon it - glorifying God in all that we do, and preparing for eternity with Jesus. We cannot give up in our race, the struggle of the soul, no matter what happens, or how hard life becomes.

Another thing that is very special to me is the gift of music. I’m a guitarist, pianist, and singer. I cannot imagine life without music, and being able to rise daily and sing a new song unto the Lord. Music is a beautiful way for me to express myself, and also praise God, the one who created me - created you, created the entire universe.

On top of all that, I enjoy hunting, shooting, hiking, biking, reading, baking, cooking, knitting, and designing shirts, stickers, and other such projects which I produce on my Cricut machine. As some would say, I’m also “obsessed” with coffee. I do not deny this. 😂

Something that stands out about me is that I’m very patriotic, and also proud of my heritage. I am half Finnish, and half Brazilian. I enjoy trying new things that are part of both those cultures, and learning about my ancestors, and the long line of strong, Christian men and women who I come from.

Although that may stand out about me, the most important thing, and the something I hope that stands out the most about me is my passion and love for Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. I am a born-again Christian, and have been so blessed to see God working in my life in so many ways - through the good times, the tragedies - there is no season of my life where God’s presence is not evident. I am extremely blessed to know the Lord, and have a personal relationship with Him. The best part is, you can too 😊

Jesus died on the cross for you and me - everybody - took all the sins in the world upon him, conquered death…and then, He rose again. Because he did this for us, if we believe in Him, we can have eternal life.

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” - Romans 10:9-10

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” - John 3:16

Some other passages I especially like are:

“God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.” - Psalm 46:5

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future.” - Jeremiah 29:11

Remember that you have a purpose, and that God has a plan for you. He made that plan before you were born. You are here for a reason, the biggest one being to glorify Him in all you do.

Lastly, but most definitely not least, I want to say thank you to the friends God has put in my life. These are some people who have encouraged me in the Lord, and strengthened me. 

“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17

Jubilee, words cannot express it, but my heart can. You’ve been here for me through everything - the good, the bad, the highs, the lows - never once have you given up on me, or our friendship, and I’m so thankful to God for you. I’ve not only laughed with you a million times, but I’ve cried with you too. You’re compassionate, and empathetic; trustworthy and kind. I’ve never cried with another in my lifetime, but I’m so blessed to share this sort of friendship with you. You have encouraged me to be genuine, and not care what other people think about me. Your joyful attitude toward all things is so beautiful. I love your passion and ambition that you bring to everyday life. You are caring, and sweet, and so loving. God’s love is radiating from you. You are an inspiration to me, Gee. This past year has been such an interesting one - our relationship has grown stronger, and although we’ve faced challenges, God has helped us through them all. We’ve grown so much together, and learned so much together too. Life would be so different without you, and I can’t imagine living it without you now that I know you. So many girls say, “You’re the best friend a girl can ask for,” but they’re all wrong, because they don’t have you. I’m honored to say that I do. We’ve made so many memories together, and you have such a special place in my heart. All our little moments together will always be cherished by me. The backseat buddies, ducks and weasels, I’ll never forget those times. Although we’re miles apart, you’re always in my heart, and I’m always praying for you. Distances means so little when someone means so much.  Thank you for the privilege of calling you my beloved best friend, and being that older sister figure in my life. Thank you for the impact you’ve had on my life. I can’t wait to see where the Lord takes us in these next few years, and how the next chapters of our lives unfold. The best part of it all, though, is that through every season of life, God has given be a best friend to be there through it with me. With all my love, Cecilia ❤️

Wow, just wow, I can’t believe where God has taken our friendship. He knew what He was doing when he brought us all together.

Thank you for being so supportive of me, and so encouraging. Our friendship, and having you all as best friends to me is one of the greatest things that’s happened in my life ❤️ 

It’s so refreshing to have found young, Christian girls with such good morals and values.

You always know how to make me smile, and you crack me up with your “quite so’s,” “just wow’s,” and “oy vey’s.” 

You can dish in a good roast, but the best part is you can also dish out amazing ones too.

You are all so kind and generous, and in the way you act, I can see Jesus in all three of you. You are all so selfless, and it’s one of my favorite things about you three. 

I’m so glad I know you, and I’m excited to know you all even better. Thank you for being such sweet sisters in Christ ❤️❤️❤️

Ah, Isaac! You’re a very good friend, and you’re very sane as well, which is rather a shock since you talk to me 😂 Putting all that aside, and being serious, you’re a very humble and intelligent young guy, and very Godly as well, which is so awesome. I really enjoy all our conversations, and the funny thing is it all started because of…well…if you know you know. Well, that sounds ominous 😱

Oh, Abi! You are so positive, funny, and delightful to be around. You’re also so empathetic and endearing, and I love you for it. You also have a killer sense of humor, which is just the best.
