I'm a university student majoring in literature and double majoring in philosophy. Recently, I've fully dedicated myself to chess and to my students so I can work with your schedule. I'd like to collaborate with my students as solely direct instruction is rarely a good way to help someone improve at chess. We're going to learn some opening theory, middle games, and endgames, and practice positional strategies and tactics. With regular post-game analyses, we'll better understand your strengths and weaknesses to be fixed with a special focus on critical positions.

I'm comfortable enough to teach anyone who is below the 1800 ELO rating. As long as you have a passion for chess I guarantee that you'll have improved your skills with my help. I have seen many who said that they couldn't learn how to play chess, that the game is too hard or that their skills aren't getting any better with practice, and so on. Yet I witnessed every single time that it was mostly because of the lack of guidance that they couldn't improve. As a +2000-rated player who frequently interacts with lower-rated players, I'm quite familiar with the common obstacles to improvement and I can help you get rid of them. We have to break the habits that make you a worse player than you actually are.
