Abrahamyan, Tatev

Tatev Abrahamyan is a Woman’s International Master (WIM) who was born in Yerevan, Armenia on January 13, 1988.  In 2005, she tied for 1st in the U.S. Women’s Chess Championship, but lost the play-off match to Rusudan Goletiani. In 2006, she won the Pan American Championship for Girls Under 20.   She represented the US in the 2006 World Junior Championship and made her first WGM norm.  She lives in Glendale, California.  Her coach is IM Armen Ambartsoumian.  She tied for 7th-8th in the 2007 U.S. Women's Chess Championship (won by Irina Krush).
