Cheron, Andre

Andre Cheron (1895-1980) was the French chess champion in 1926, 1927, and 1929 and one of the great endgame analysts and study composers of all time.  He played Board 1 for France in the 1927 Olympiad.  He created the longest problem solution to have all checks in it, taking 69 moves.  He was an International Master in Chess Composition (1959).
