Damaino Defense

The Damaino Defense is a uncommon opening that is used by black. It goes like this: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 f6?. f6 is a horrible move that takes away the g8 knights best square for development and weakens the e8-h5 diagonal, which makes it possible for white's pieces to deliver checks on this diagonal and can be very effective. Damaino analyzed this opening and found that f7 to f6 was unsound. His name got stuck to it. White can simply take the pawn on e5 since taking back with the pawn doesn't work as I will show:
