Learning Chess

It's easy to get disheartened when trying to learn the game of chess because there is so much material to learn and it all seems so hard. Please keep in mind that chess is a game where we progress at our own rate and while things like algebraic notation, tactical motifs, openings, endgames are slow going and hard to digest at first -- it's practice and persistence that makes it easier as one continues.
