1. "Bench" - Stats of players on the bench won't be counted as your team's stat. From the pic below, they're the 3 players in Red box. You can also check your team's daily stat from "Starting Lineup Totals," last line of the pic.

2. Positions - PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F and C. You need players who play these specific positions to fill in the spots. The position(s) of your players is already provided next (or below) to their names. Say George Hill plays PG and SG positions. So you can use him to fill in PG, SG and also G. Any player who's PF or SF can also fill in "F" position. The last one is Util, it's a free spot for all positions.

3. who plays on the day? - Check from 'Status' column. In the below pic, Wade, Kidd, Kaman and all others with times on their status column have a game on Sat, Dec 11. So move these players to spots that aren't bench. Aaron Brooks with red cross icon means he's injured and probably won't play on the day even he got game so you can put him on 'Bench' spot.

4. To adjust your roster - If you have no time, no need to log on everyday. You can click on next day let's say from the above pic, Dec 12 and adjust the roster, then Dec 13, 14, 15 and onwards for as many days as you'd like. I do this too but still check daily for daily result and my team's ranking.
