Today we hit a big milestone. 100 events completed! Out of these, we’ve secured 70 victories, 7 draws, and only 23 losses. Given the strength of our opponents, this is nothing short of phenomenal.
Every single one of you has contributed to this achievement, and we should all feel really proud. Thank you for your dedication, consistency, and fighting spirit.
This is just the beginning. Many more milestones and victories lie ahead!
Team,
We’ve officially secured 2nd place in the Experts Group in our debut ONE WORLD League tournament in the 1200-1400 category. A huge thank you to everyone who played their part in making this possible. Check out the silver medal and points table in the link below:

The match against Club Geezers has been cancelled by their admin, citing that they were 'heavily outranked' and didn’t want to 'risk a whitewash'. They also congratulated us on having 'so many talented players'. While it’s unfortunate the match was cancelled, I see this as a compliment in disguise. The fact that strong clubs now acknowledge our firepower speaks volumes about how far we’ve come. Thank you all for making our club what it is today!
Everyone can go through the recap of the matches which got completed in July'25 and how you fared in them in 'Club Highlights and results' (https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/club-highlights-results#comment-117514822). Also, there are over 50 interactive puzzles in the Masters Puzzle Corner now (https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/masters-puzzle-corner). Lot of work has gone into those so make sure to check them out and leave a feedback. It would really mean a lot. Thanks!
Please join me in welcoming @Ouroborated as the first-ever Coordinator of Masters of the Squares! Grateful for their efforts and excited to have them in this role.
@jeromelou the pleasure is truly ours. I genuinely hope that you have a good time here and learn/play/participate/contribute at your own pace and at your own convenience. Have a great day!
Masters of the Squares turns 3 months old today! With 504 points, now ranked #2439 globally, 257 members and an impressive 31 wins from 45 events, we have created some serious magic! Really, this is no small feat for such a young club, and it’s all thanks to you. Your commitment, fighting spirit, and unmatched support make this club truly special. I don't think any other club has members who respond to calls for participation or fight this hard in matches as you all do. Truly grateful!
Happy International Chess Day everyone!
Celebrated every year on July 20, this day marks the founding of FIDE (the International Chess Federation) in 1924.
killersmash1, thank you so much for taking the time to share these valuable pointers. Excellent suggestions, and I’ll definitely be keeping them in mind moving forward. Staying vigilant about elements that could affect the club’s quality and focusing on keeping it small, active, and productive are both great strategies.
As for opportunities, I try to introduce new ones every few days, especially matches against top clubs, to ensure members get the best exposure and learning experience.
Thanks!
Some of the most successful clubs on Chess.com are those with a small number of players. 3. Always present more opportunities for members. This is one of the clubs strong suits! Keep it up! Presenting members with varieties of fun things to do will allow all of a club's members to be excited about joining things. In conclusion, this is likely one of the most successful new clubs in a very long time, and I hope to see grow and continue to dominate in daily matches! -killersmash1
I have a few notes on how to keep this club running well: 1. Keep a close eye on your members. A problem with many clubs is that it has players who aren't willing to participate. These include members with long timeout records, unrated players, and players who haven't been online in months. Watch your member list, kick any players to seem to have a troubling past with this club. 2. Keep the club small. Problems with players such as those listed above increase as your club gets larger in size.
Few statistics for Masters of the Squares (as on 1st July'25):
Days since inception: 67
Total events played: 30
Total events won: 21
Matches Won: 71% Total Points: 161 Rank: 3824 (Better than 98.6% of all clubs) These are honestly mind-boggling numbers. Congratulations everyone! And thank you for being part of this journey.
