Friends of the Franklin Mercantile Chess Club
1885 The Franklin Mercantile chess club was originally founded as the Franklin Chess club in 1885. It later merged with the Mercantile Chess Club in the 1950s to become the Franklin Mercantile Chess Club. We are a group of chess enthusiasts who wish to preserve the FMCC and chess for all in Philadelphia.
