Hello Chess.com! This is a club for romantic chess players. Romantic chess is a style of play popular in the 1800th century until William Steinitz introduced classical chess in the 1880's.
In this club we are mainly focusing on our one goal: achieving the 1# rank in vote chess. Due to attempted sabotage on one of our games, to join you will have to file a request.
In case your wondering, I put the Italian flag in the club picture because a lot of romantic chess has a connection with Italy. For instance, Giuoco Piano (chess opening) is Italian for quiet game. Same with Italian game, and an Italian player called Gioachino Greco, who adapted a somewhat similar style of play to romantic chess.
