So many people wonder how can we witness in the modern day? Any ideas?

THE DISCIPLESHIP OF THE HEART I just realized recently that the discipleship of the heart must precedes other many activities about discpleship. I have seen many Christians who undergo different seminars and teachings about discipleship, but because their heart is not really discipled, they are among the liabilities of the church. They are knowledgeable on how to witness and help other grow in their faith, but yet they are not practicing what they have learned. Many of them are professionals and have good formal education, but are not helping in fulfilling the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus. Moreover, I saw many Christians also who have very little education, most of them are undergraduates, some of them did not even finished elementary level, but are being used by God mightily in winning more souls for Christ. Why? Because their hearts are one with the heart of God. They have the heart of a true disciple of Jesus Christ. Please do not get me wrong. I am not an anti-education. I believe education is very important. But in Christianity, the heart must be educated first. I have seen many educated persons claiming to be Christians also but are arrogant, sarcastic and boastful. They have a heart problem. Therefore, I want to emphasize to all disciplers, give importance to the discipleship of the heart. The discipleship of the heart must precedes all skills and knowledge trainings!

This is a really cool verse! Mark 6:30-44: 30 The apostles returned to Jesus, and told him all that they had done and taught. 31 And he said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a lonely place, and rest a while." I want to stop hurting myself, but i don't know why i should or how to. What's so wrong with cutting and suicide?

I just wanted to share this passage on what the Bible has to say on love. Because nowadays the word love is so often missused. 1 corinthians 13 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging symbal. If I have a gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor abd surrender my body to the flames, but have no love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easely angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect dissapears. When I was a child, I talked like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love. THIS IS LOVE

One day a man was walking through his garden, doing his normal chores of watering the plants and tending to them. As he was walking through, he found a beggar in the garden. He felt pity on the man and offered to bring him into the house and help him. As the man accepted, they both went into the house and began to talk to one another. The beggar soon began to tell how he was just going about his daily walking when he happened into the garden. He saw how beautiful it was and decided to stay for a while to rest his sore feet. Then the beggar saw the garden tender coming and tried to hide but found nowhere to do so. And was then taken into the tenders household. After the two of them had had some time talking with each other. The beggar decided to leave, but before he left he gave the tender a small spherical gift wrapped in cloth and then left. When the beggar had gone the garden tender opened the gift to find that it was a beautifully crafted orb with a note. When he read the note it said... "USE WISELY, for with this orb you have a choice of two wishes that will be granted. And those choices are... (A). you may have wealth beyond compare, nations that will bow at your feet, anything you ask for will be given to you... Or (B) You may have a guaranteed ticket into heaven when you die." At this point the man has two choices... And my friend, the rest of the story is for you to come up with. And the rest of the story, could well be your own. This story first of all was just written off the top of my head. And I did not think a word through before I started typing. But now that I am done I see the meaning to this story. You have a choice that Christ has given us. You could spend eternity with Him in heaven if you choose to follow Him. Or you could follow the world and enjoy it for now, but then your judgement will come before the throne, and then your choice will have been necessary. For there is a hell and there is a heaven. I recently had a man tell me when I told him about the tortures of hell these words "blah, at least I will be suffering with all others on earth..." But my friend, in hell, you will be alone, you will scream for one drop of water on your dry tongue, and you will be sorry, forever... It is your choice choose wisely.

I was wondering if people had a favorite place in the world. Mine would probably be in the South Pacific, or Asia. What are your favorites???

LORD how you have created my being, You made the mountains, the rivers, and the stars. I look at a mountain and I can not fathom the size in my mind. O how greater are you to a mountain! Stars fall, mountains bow, rivers and great torrents stop in your name O LORD. For as large as a river is, you are greater. For as large as a lake is, you are greater. For as large as a sea is, LORD only you are greater. In sight of you, Wolves whimper, lions bow, all the creatures in the sea show reverence towards the one who made them! LORD how much more should we praise your name than all of creation! Lift your hands in the air, shout out with your voices and sing and give praise to the LORD on high! For He created all things and predestines thier life. Amen.

One day a man went to a wise sage for advice. He said that he had so many troubles in his life that he had barely enough time to do his work and was quickly falling behind. So the sage thought some, then got a cup and started to fill it with the mans favorite type of drink. After he had finished filling it, he kept pouring it into the cup so that now it was spilling over the edge. So seeing that the sage was wasting the drink, the man soon stopped him from pouring it and asked him why he wasted so much... Then the sage said to him... Like this cup, you are so full of your troubles that you do not have any more room for your work. So first you should clear your mind and think of your troubles one by one. Then solve them like you would solve a simple problem. Then, and only then, you will have time for your work.

a fun story I heard One day a scientist went to God and they had the following conversation. Scientist: "God we don't need you any more, we can create man ourselves, so we no longer need you." God: Ok, but lets do a competition, the first one to finish create a living man wins." Scientist: "Deal" So the scientist picked up some dirt only to be interupted by God saying... "Hey, get your own dirt!"

For we, as we had received God's love, mercy and forgiveness through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, should tell it to others. This is our duty. Our purpose in life. another story I felt inspired to write. A man was preparing to go outside in the rain to get some work done. He turned to his friend and said that he hoped he wouldn't get too wet. Then, his his friend said to him that the LORD would keep him dry, and left. Inspired by this, the man put down his umbrella and went outside into the pouring rain. 7 minutes later he returned and said to his friend, "I thought you said the LORD would keep me dry. But now I am all wet!" Then his friend simply said to him,"The LORD gave you an umbrella."

This is just a parable I came up with when I was sitting outside... The Four Brothers One day A father of four sons wanted to send them out into the world on their own. He told his servants to write a book on the rules they should follow while they were there, not to be mean, but to help them. When the books were completed he gave them tho his sons and told them to follow what it said, then he let them go to make their own decisions. The first son read the book avidly and stayed true to what it said. He did only good and set an example for others. So he had many friends, a family, and a wonderfully lived life. The second son read some of the book and put it on a shelf to be forgotten. He remained to himself and his friends and was not very outgoing to others. So he lost some friends and gained some friends, got married but lived a bad marriage, and so lived a live of many troubles. The third son never read the book and got into trouble many times due to his bad behavior. He had few friends and they were all bad. He never married, got into drugs, and got into a "party" lifestile instead of doing work. The fourth son despised his father and burned his book in fury. He killed those who hated him and lived a life wanted and without friends. He was eventually put in jail for the rest of his life. I tell you these people are still living those same lives today... Which will you choose?
