Post your Match Links here after accepting the challenges for The Local Group season schedule.
1) The season will consist of a round robin daily chess tournament between the member clubs. 2) After the start of the first round, subsequent rounds will start in 8 weeks after the start of the start of the prior round. 3) Each round will consist of two concurrent games (one of each color). 4) Time control will be 3 days per move unless the club Admin representatives agree to a faster time control. 5) The minimum number of boards per match will be 6. If a team cannot sign up six players for any given match, they will not forfeit the match but will lose 2 points for each unfilled boards. 6) If for any reason a player's account is closed during the match, the team will lose points for those games. 7) Players may be members of more than one club but may only play for one club per season. Players found registered for a 2nd club should be removed from the match of the second team before it starts and politely reminded that it is not allowed. Players found playing for a 2nd team will forfeit the match games. 8) Scoring System: Teams will be awarded 1 point for every match they win, and ½ point for every match they draw. Ties will be settled by formula TieBreak= B*C for each match, where B is the percentage of board points won, assuming all unfinished games are draws, and C is the fraction of finished games in the match. When a team wins a match by forfeit, the average tiebreak per match for this team in this season is added to this team's tiebreak. Team match scores will be adjusted for all closed accounts and for players playing for multiple teams (in 2 or more matches for each of 2 or more teams). A player whose opponent is subject to an adjustment will receive 2 points. If both accounts are subject to an adjustment, the points will be split 1:1 regardless of the actual result. 9. Admins are asked not to delete players from the roster or group, and a 2 point penalty may be applied by The Local Group, Exception: a player can ask a member of The Local Group, to be removed from a match before it starts, for personal reasons, without penalty to club. 10. A player must not remove themself from a match in this league. See 9 above. 11. Admins have the option to remove players from the roster who have a timeout percentage of 30% or higher. Admins are to post match comments for any player removed from the roster. Please make sure to use the following parameters on all 2022 season Local Group matches including Round number in Match Name.
