Welcome to the Blunder Hall of Fame (BHF). This place will infamously showcase the biggest and most brutal blunders ever played in history. From dubiously hanging a piece to blundering mate in one, this forum will show how errant a human being really is. If you want one of your legendary games to be featured in this forum, simply submit it in the comments below. Here is what I think is the biggest endgame throw my opponent has ever committed.

Welcome to the Game Analysis Forum. Submit your games here for free analysis with added commentary! The purpose of this forum is to point out consistent flaws that you may make in your games and improve on those mistakes, while simultaneously analyzing with fellow members of the community. Since the purpose of this forum is for chess only, posts not relating to chess or the discussion will promptly be removed. To get a gist of how to analyze a game, see the following example below: Below, I have copied and pasted the PGN of one of my typical chaotic 10 minute games. Now, I will ask myself to add commentary to the game. (Please note that you can also submit a game you have personally annotated without the use of an engine. This will improve our feedback on your game if we know your thought process throughout the game!) Then, (since this is an example post), I will reply to myself by submitting the game, with commentary on what I did good at and what I could have done better. With that being said, feel free to submit your games! Although submitting a game where you absolutely demolished your opponent is tempting, I recommend that you submit a game where you lost or drew, because it is easier to point out the mistakes that you made, not to mention that you will learn more from it rather than from a game you won. I look forward to sharing my opinion and giving advice to members that are trying to improve. Also note that you can critique games, as well as share games of your own for other members to analyze. Most importantly, have fun. Now, post away!

I would like to congratulate my friend, @frog for reaching a special milestone. 2500 bullet puts him in the 99.9 percentile out of all the members on chess.com. The rate of @frog's improvement has grown tremendously over the past few months, just look at his bullet rating graph! 2500 is an incredible accomplishment, and to honor him, I will analyze the game that pushed him over this special milestone to the best of my sub-2300 ability Once again, I would like to congratulate @frog for achieving this milestone, and I wish him good luck as he continues to push his rating to unbelievable heights.

Welcome to the Stories Forum. Whether hilarious, spooky, thrilling, or exciting, this is the place to share your stories and your experiences!
What is considered a good chess rating? A good chess rating is one that is considered good. Like literally. It all depends on one's perspective. A 2000 will appear godly to a 500 player while a 2000 will appear like a complete idiot to a GM. What is the point of playing chess if computers are way better than us? Computers will never be able to empathize. They will never express emotions, nor will they ever actually enjoy the game. The whole point of chess is to have fun playing the game. If you don't enjoy playing, then you should probably find some other hobby to do. What is the best piece? It all depends on the position. Simply put, a bishop will be worth more in some positions than a knight and vice versa. Just take a look at the positions below. In this position, the bishop is obviously better. The knight is unable to move and is trapped, therefore giving the bishop more value. White will soon use the activity of his bishop and king to collect black's final pawns, and ultimately win the game. On the contrary, black's knight is far better in this position. In this case, white's bishop would be known as "a big pawn", because it is practically the same value as a pawn. How do I improve at chess? Different people utilize different methods to improve. Analyzing the games that you lost (preferably rapid), identifying your mistakes, getting a coach, and avoiding fast time controls should all help. Making countless and pointless threads on the exact same subject over and over again definitely won't help the matter though. Is it possible to get 100% accuracy in a game? Yes. Well, it depends on the engine. Can you join my club? Most definitely not. I appreciate the generous offer though. Is chess a sport? I will say that mental fatigue translates into physical fatigue, so in my opinion yes, chess is considered a sport. How are you so good at chess? I am trash at chess, why are you asking this question lol Why are there two accounts with the same name? Well, there isn't anymore. But just to those who were curious the other scattered used a capital "i" instead of a lowercase L. Why is your time increasing????? Hawaii internet be like: Why are there so many ducks? Ducc (But in all seriousness it all started when ChessRook5t1, now known as @Chess_Narco, was unfairly closed for abuse. People such as @Trophies100, @Batman2508, @neatgreatfire, @AwakenedVortex, and many others started to change their pfps in protest. Then, it just became a trend/meme and the rest is history.) How are you always online every day? I'm not actually online, sometimes I just have a separate tab open. Or maybe I just have no life.

It is really hard to pick out my favorite puzzle but in general I love puzzles that are aesthetic and satisfying to watch, with crazy sacrifices and beautiful moves Here are some of my favorites: Now, what are some of your favorite puzzles?
This may seem like an obvious question but there is no concrete answer. On one hand, white gets the first move so it seems pretty clear that white has an advantage, right? But what if having the second move was actually better because black has the ability to refute any move that white makes? In my opinion, I would rather play white because whenever I play black I always get into cramped, uncomfortable positions. If anyone has any advice on how to avoid this, I would great appreciate that advice. I would also like to make this forum into a discussion on whether or not there is a forced win for a certain side. Just like tic-tac-toe is a forced draw, is it theoretically possible that there is some way that white or black can force a win in x amount of moves? My logic of thinking is that since there is in fact a finite number of moves, there is some sequence of moves that leads to a singular outcome, but if that is a win for white, a win for black, or a draw remains a mystery to me. My guess is that with 100% best play by both sides, the game will be a draw because in order for a game to be lost, the side that lost must have made a mistake. What are your ideas on this mystery?
