sometimes i don't think he's around me , cause i'm alone for a lot of times . :S , i feel confused
it sounds like your mind has not made up your Decision to believe or not to believe.... Don't worry, it is ok... It just means God has not touch your shoulder yet... You feel alone, but your not... when God touches your shoulder... You are 100% believe... right now your 50%... Go to Church... UNDERSTAND GOD... and read the bible. When you read the bible, you will understand life, and while reading the bible, feels like he is right there... So you no longer feel alone... Hope this helps your life
Yes sarena5436, in order to get direction for our lives, we could spend alot of time reading the bible, which when read, will reveal God's will for our lives, and spend much time in prayer (communication with God). Also keep in mind we are to walk in "faith". Not by our "feelings". Much of the time we will feel alone, so our feelings are not a good indicator because feeling will let us down. It's faith instead that will see us through. Reading Hebrews chapter 11 will show us the old saints didn't rely on their feelings, but they relyed on faith.
So if you've came to Jesus and made him the Lord of your life, then you can have the assurance that his promise is valid where he said he would be with you always. ... even when it doesn't feel like he's there. So through reading his word and prayer, you will find that closeness again.
My first suggestion is to make sure you having a saving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ by believing the gospel. Jesus was God manifest in the flesh. He laid his life down and he had the power to take it up again. There is one mediator between God and men, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only way. The gospel: Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day. The other suggestions are useless and do not apply until you get this one nailed down.
My second suggestion is to believe the promise that if you will delight thyself in the LORD he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Do that by reading the Bible and learning to love Jesus. If you love him you will try to do what the Bible tells you to do.
My third suggestion is to pray. God says to call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. God knows your needs, even better than you. You will be delighted and surprised how God can work things out for you. God will send companions your way.
My fourth suggestion is to realize that God’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. This is why my first suggestion is so important. God will not listen to a lost person except they pray for salvation. God will not listen to a Christian that knows right from wrong and does wrong presumptuously. Learn to obey the Bible-got to read it-so that God will listen to you and answer your prayers.
My fifth suggestion is to find other believers and regularly assemble with them in a church that preaches (not just teaches) sound doctrine including the simple gospel message. You have to read your Bible to check the preacher for sound doctrine. We are in the Laodicean church age with more apostate churches than sound churches.
My sixth suggestion is for you to read your Bible. Nothing I suggested above came from me, but it all was learned by reading my Bible. Every book has stuff to learn, but for someone just starting, the gospel of John is a great start to learn about the love of God for you. The Psalms are wonderful to lift your sadness. After John, maybe Romans would be good and then each book after Romans in order to learn how to be a mature Christian.
I am over 40. I learned these by doing them. Trust me and try these suggestions.
Thank you wolfleader but i already tried that , i mean reading it still makes me feel that i'm alone , I've been through a lot of things which made me made up my mind that a lot aren't trustable . I believe that he once did touch my shoulder and that was 10 years ago but everything changed when something happened to my family , it somehow made me ruthless. I learnt a lot during these years and the people who i loved and trusted turned their backs on me , everyone of them so I closed my heart to everything eccept hatress , i won't blame that to someone else cause i'm the one who makes the decisions. To be honest the people at church turned their backs on me as well .
The people of the church should not have turned their backs on you. I do suggest that you find a new church that would like to help you. being angry is not bad, even Jesus got angry in the temple when people were using it as a market, but it says in the bible "in your anger do not sin, yet while you are in your bed at night, search your heart and be silent" (Psalm 4:4). All of us get extremely angry, it anoyes me to know that so many left you at one time, but there is on who has never left you... GOD.
There is yet another story that may be of help.
A man was once having a dream that he was walking with the Lord along the beach, all across the sky flashed scenes of his life that he had expirienced, now he also noticed that when there were troubles in his life that he saw only one set of footprints in the sand, and when there were times of good, he saw two sets in the sand (one of the Lords and one of his) , this puzzled him, so he went to the Lord and asked him... "How come in the times of trouble in my life you have left me to walk on my own, yet in the times of good, you walked with me. How could you leave me when I needed you most!" to this the Lord replied. "My child, it was when you see two sets of footprints that I walked with you, and when you see one set... it was then that I carried you."
God is with us always, even when the world is dead. God will be there. with US!
One day a man was walking through his garden, doing his normal chores of watering the plants and tending to them. As he was walking through, he found a beggar in the garden. He felt pity on the man and offered to bring him into the house and help him. As the man accepted, they both went into the house and began to talk to one another. The beggar soon began to tell how he was just going about his daily walking when he happened into the garden. He saw how beautiful it was and decided to stay for a while to rest his sore feet. Then the beggar saw the garden tender coming and tried to hide but found nowhere to do so. And was then taken into the tenders household.
After the two of them had had some time talking with each other. The beggar decided to leave, but before he left he gave the tender a small spherical gift wrapped in cloth and then left. When the beggar had gone the garden tender opened the gift to find that it was a beautifully crafted orb with a note. When he read the note it said... "USE WISELY, for with this orb you have a choice of two wishes that will be granted. And those choices are... (A). you may have wealth beyond compare, nations that will bow at your feet, anything you ask for will be given to you... Or (B) You may have a guaranteed ticket into heaven when you die."
At this point the man has two choices... And my friend, the rest of the story is for you to come up with. And the rest of the story, could well be your own.
This story first of all was just written off the top of my head. And I did not think a word through before I started typing. But now that I am done I see the meaning to this story. You have a choice that Christ has given us. You could spend eternity with Him in heaven if you choose to follow Him. Or you could follow the world and enjoy it for now, but then your judgement will come before the throne, and then your choice will have been necessary. For there is a hell and there is a heaven. I recently had a man tell me when I told him about the tortures of hell these words "blah, at least I will be suffering with all others on earth..." But my friend, in hell, you will be alone, you will scream for one drop of water on your dry tongue, and you will be sorry, forever... It is your choice choose wisely.
