My understanding is that he doesn't like dealing with 2. Bg5 after 1. d4 f5. Since white can't play Bg5 immediately after 1. c4 or 1. Nf3, it isn't a problem to go immediately into the Dutch with 1. ... f5 and continue with 2. ... e3.

I know Ginger GM recommends entering the Dutch with 1 . . . e6 after 1 d4, but does he give the same recommendation against the English? Because d4 has not been played can't Black play 1 . . . e5 and later play f5 in Reverse Grand Prix fashion? Also, against 1 Nf3 are there any move order nuances?
