List of Teams

Thats great Shane!, I was thinking last night about this I have an idea tell me what you think.

- With international teams from other countries it takes so long to recieve a response, slow communication sometimes non at all, I believe with the lack of communication foriegn teams will do what i done, bring in the big guns etc it'll become so unfair etc.

- I was thinking of creating/changing the idea to a British League, communication will be so much better, quicker organisation etc and fair, run better etc.

I also think team names should change to example: Manchester United F.C,

Sunderland F.C, Portsmouth F.C, and so on making it seem more real and not a micky mouse comp etc, just an idea but if so we could contact admin etc and ask once our finished artile is done etc...

I see your point Dan. I just looked at Real Madrid and they only have 2 players actually from Spain. It'll be a shame to exclude a couple of the teams who are decent, like Boca Juniors, but I think your right, a British league, that will tie in with Team Britain and Team England.

As far as them changing their names, well, you can ask them nicely but they might take offence. Team names like 'sheffield united r the best' definitely sound juvenile. Anyway that's not important for the moment, like you said, we can bring that up at a later date when things are more organised.

22 Teams at mo!, but i think once we've organised a league structure, maybee depending on the interest - amount of teams - amount of divisions etc we can then approuch TE and TB, forums notes and maybee news articles etc what do you think?..

Yes, That's the idea. To do the same as they did for the County Championship. We will help the teams recruit more members, even starting off teams ourselves Like Tottenham and Newcastle etc, and this will all be done in TB and TE like the county championship.

I think we need a news artlicle advertising this?, i would need a copy that i could save to word doc if ever needed for the future as well, I could then post on Team England, andyou could post on Team Britian?, teams/members would hopefully get in touch etc, and see how that goes etc?

I think we have to know exactly what we are doing before we advertise. A bit more discussion first. I will write an overview with some points to discuss. By the way none of your links work in the last post. Delete it and I'll sort one out and post it at the top.

The list at the top is sorted. I will make a review of these teams to see which ones are suitable for the league.

- Still have the original group names and next to it have the team name as it is up top, also members, PLD W D L PS= points scored PL= points losed PD= point difference and finally OMP= overall match points

Points system?

Win = 5

Draw = 2

Lose = 0

Key:

PLD = played

W = won

D = drawn

L = lossed

PS = points scored

PL = points lost

PD = points difference ( + - )

OMP = overall match points.

I think it should be the same as the premiership.

3 for a win

1 for a draw

0 for a loss

There's no reason to have anything else. and for the tie break, which is usually goal difference GD, Like you said Points or games won

PLD = played

W = won

D = drawn

L = lost

GF = Games For

GA = Games Against

GD = Games difference ( + - )

PTS = Match Points

I would like to keep it as much like the premiership as we can. This way the league table heading will look exactly the same as the premiership. It's not important but it would be appropriate. what do you think?

Yes, thinking about it, you're right, it would be a better theme, and look better.

I maybee going to far ahead but its something we can think about.

1. starting an F.A CUP...

Yes, once we get the League going, we can start a knock out competition based on the FA cup.

I was going to start up another football group some time ago but never got around to it. It was going to be called The Football Factory and was for hardcore football fans who could bring up and discuss different football issues in the forum. People like to discuss football and this would be the place. Because we would all be rival fans, the main activity would be to play each other, creating a competition similar to a ladder tournament but taking the form of a football league. Anyway, if you like this idea, maybe we could start it another time. Maybe at the start of the season. It might help out with this league if we gather all the football supporters in one place.

Actually, now I've thought about it, I think it maybe the best idea. If we start up that football group first and get all the football supporters in one place, It'll be a great place to launch a football league. Such a group wouldn't take long to get started. What do you think.

I believe we should start with the League (realistic) first as the main attraction, moving on to the F.A CUP, once things are moving along nicely we should bring in "The Football Factory" as the "next chapter", a team that correspondes with the League ect. "The Football Factory" can be the place where the banta kicks off between members etc, this place as the HQ - Super-Admin from the Teams etc.

I would prefer to start with the HQ and League....

The table would be slightly different from this one because this one was designed for a team match league, but a vote chess league is different, there are no 'Games won' or 'Games Lost' Categories. Instead there would be a Tie Break category which would be worked out the same as regular chess.com tournaments. The Time-Out issue is a good point and would have to be discussed further. Maybe it can be used in case the tie break is also a tie, The one with the least Time-Outs wins.

It'd be really great if you can make a custom logo, but first we have to decide on a name. Any suggestions?

The Football Factory is just a HQ where we can discuss events in private. When we have a name for the league we will create a new group and start inviting teams to play. The idea for just British sides was meant for the original team match league. I would like the vote chess league to be an international affair.
