What do folks think: does the cold weather extend the time needed for recovery from a run?
Not for me, since I find I exert myself less during the session than when it's hot.
As someone who's ran through winters, sometimes below -30°C, I'd say no. Running in the cold does burn more calories but I found I compensated by going slower.
Cold weather doesn't extend recovery time for me, but it increases the risk of muscle injuries. It requires a bit more caution in the warm-up.
