Struggling to find partner clubs as a result of my club's theme

I run a club that focuses on providing a place for Christians to discuss their religion is doing pretty well, and I decided to try to get some partnerships to boost activity after a sudden surge in member count and activity quieted. My member count is pretty stuck and the activity level is pretty high but is slowly getting lower. I partnered with some clubs the admin owned. It did a little bit, but now I am not getting any more from these partnerships and it is hard to find clubs willing to partner with a Christian club. I don't necessarily need partnerships, but I know it would help and I also don't know what else to do. Thoughts?

You could try getting into "Daily Game Matches" which (if your members are interested) could boost your activity, The "Team USA Southeast" is always looking for match opponents:

https://www.chess.com/club/team-usa-southeast

If you are interested, I could introduce you to the Club SA to learn more. The "Team USA Southeast" is friendly to all persuasions, and simply looking for good competition.

Take care...

I am willing to do it. My club is called The Snakes Of Chess TSoC

By partnership I mean not just a club which will always quickly accept challenges (MCAs included), but also a club that will encourage their club members to join my club and vice versa.

Sure. You're an admin anyway so you can help out with getting the partnership started.

The SouthEast Club does not do that sort of recruiting endorsement, but we do play matches :-)

OK. That's fine. I am already in the club I'm pretty sure so if we can make some VC and matches soon that'd be great.

I have a checker enthusiasts club. People who play both games. No way anyone would partner with us. Although it’s better now people have gotten used to us. Just go alone and do your own thing. You don’t need partners!

Join some leagues and people have to play you!

Partnership is a trend I never really believed in. Advertising into one another's club don't necessarily give more will to people to join your club, especially when you get a new partnership every so often. In the best case you only end up with clone clubs, with a different name and the same members. And often the one who will join all partner clubs are not the active players, but the club collectors.

And side effect : if all members are in both clubs you can't play matches as nobody can join.

As for activity don't forget many people have a vacation break right now, it my might be circumstantial.

I second @Kookaburrra advice: joining some leagues will guarantee you some activity. Of course it will be on you to get players to the matches. It will also give your club more visibility. You can also make some blog posts. As your club has a very specific theme it could be indeed more difficult for you than if you were looking for anyone, but don't forget it's not all about growth.

If people are joining both clubs, then they can't play in matches against the other club. In this case, more members won't lead to more match participation.
