Once the Chess League starts, there will obviously be regular matches but I like to think that Team Florida would benefit from playing "warm-up" matches to get into the groove. I am gladly have my team (Washington) play a match and here is a list of other teams you could challenge:
1) New Jersey Chess Team, 2) Wisconsin, USA 3) Team Maryland ,
4)Georgia Chess ,
10) Team Utah
There are numerous other teams like Ohio, Texas, New York, Idaho, Minnesota etc. that are not part of the current play.
I would encourage someone to raise his/her hand to start issuing a challenge (or simply do it). Probably would be a good idea to have the ratings of the current members in the back of your hand when issueing a challenge. Also, it may not be a bad idea to invite more folks from the various Florida groups in here. The whole thing lives or dies how active the admin(s) is/are. It was kind of sad to see that a group with 246 members played not a single team match.
As I said feel free to contact me with questions, I will be glad to help out getting this group started for a while but once Season 2 starts I will retreat from here ...

In case you were wondering I cancelled the challenge to Utah and replaced it with South Dakota. After no one from Utah signed up I looked at Utah roster to realize that they have only 6 players that fit the range. Three of those are below 1000. That explained why no one had signed up. I guess the beginning is never easy ...
