More than accept,  can't they also create a Match and challenge other teams?

Why did chess.com create such a useless thing?

To me a coordinator is a match slave without rights.

I trust my admins 100% and they are fully equipped.

But it's better than a plain member, right? And not everybody can be trusted 100%. And no, they are not a slave. They are not forced to create matches.

I would rather be a plain member than coordinator.

It is, in fact, a very useful position.

My clubs are strictly vote chess, but now and then someone will ask for a team match. I have neither the time, nor the inclination, nor the expertise to set-up team matches. If I could let this person do it then I would gladly do that. But I do not want to give this person control of membership and/or of club policy.

The "Coordinator" position allows me to do that, and now everyone gets what they want and everyone is happy.

I would not feel happy  if someone asks me to be coordinator. If you can’t trust me to be Admin, then don’t ask me at all.

I promise I won't ask you.
