yes true, also if they did not attack pearl harbor the US would never join the war, and Japan's atrocities would most likely never end or at least not as quickly. Conversely there are a multitude of ways the US could've ended the war without using atomic bombs, it's more of a US politics issue at that time instead of what is actually required to end it.

you are incorrect about the u.s joining the war Japan was a extra reason to join the war but otherwise you seem to be correct in your statement

No Japan was the sole reason the Us joined the war, if Pearl Harbor did not occur the US had no intention of joining the war.

You seem to be confusing WWI and WWII. The incident you're referring to is the Zimmermann telegram, in 1917 during WWI, not WWII. Also US joining the Entente was not mostly due to the telegram although it did contribute. That still has nothing to do with WWII tho. For reference, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zimmermann_telegram.

I deleted original message and replaced it with a much clearer comment with reference. Check it out. You're mistaken lol.

@HeisukeKogami about the shrine i disagree because even though what it represents is bad it should stay at least in history books because it shows previous mistakes so it could help Futcher leaders settle things through peace not war.

Ok so honoring class A war criminals is good or acceptable in your opinion? The Yasukuni shrine specifically honors the generals and admirals of Imperial Japan, many of which convicted of Class A war crimes and still others, committed class A war crimes but died during the war and never convicted, and treat them as national heros.

he was just talkin' bout mentioning them in history books as criminals not glorifing them as heros....

But obv if we want to get the most accurate history than we need to view it from third country's perspective..............and it's not akito's fault geting wrong info, it's every country's propaganda to present to their citizens a perfect and honoured history....

I am chill and yes I know a lot about their history, whether or not I know more history or culture is up to debate, but I would like to say I have done my studying and I know what I'm talking about.

Maybe you want to go to Germany to see their textbooks? I never said it's his fault for being taught wrong history, it is and will be his fault if he denies it in face of clear evidence though.

And yes Japanese history textbooks absolutely need to include the atrocities (albeit PG13 version) committed by Imperial Japan. The shrine glorifies them as protector of the country. Huge difference here.
