About Me:

I am currently a student at UC Riverside. I am also UC Riverside's chess club president and founder. I have participated in several tournaments, however not as many as I would like to due to school.

I have taught at different elementary schools and I currently have several students around the Bay Area.

My lesson plan

I use a combination of and skype to interact with the students. However, I can also give lessons in person depending on your location. For students who are new to chess, I start with the basics, which includes the board, how to move the pieces, and how to play the opening/endgame. For students with some experience, I go analyze your most recent games and work on your weaknesses. Consequently, I develop a plan with you and help you achieve your goal.

Stuart has been working with me for a couple months now. I started with little interest in the game, but since his coaching I've improved and come to appreciate the game significantly more.

His lesson plan is effective: essentially, he goes over your games and pinpoints different ways on how to enhance your game playing skills. I've found it very helpful to learn this way whether via Skype or in person.

Aside from that, I know Stuart through the UCR Chess Club where he also shares his expertise with fellow club members.

I would easily recommend Stuart if you're looking for a coach. No questions asked!

Stuart has been coaching our 4th grade son for almost a month now.

Within a few lessons with Stuart, our son has improved his game and developed a confidence in chess that we have not seen before.

Our son looks forward to learning chess and is developing a passion and interest in the game.

Stuart has taught our son, in person and over Skype which is nice as it gives flexibility in scheduling.

We are fortunate to have Stuart as our son's chess coach and highly reccomend him as a coach!
