Set the Multi PV Mode to 2 or as many lines as you want, restart the engine, then... here you go! Enjoy :)

Does anyone know how to get Arena 3.0 to display the second and third best moves, as well as the strongest ?

Even with the configuration window set on 8 threads, only the best move and best moves after that are displayed. Right clicking on the movelist brings up a menu with 'next best move' as an option (shortcut 'Y') but clicking on next best move does not change the display, and pressing Y takes back a move.

How does this compare to the Fritz GUI?

    I'm using this Arena software.

In the table below (where it shows the engine's analysis) there's a field marked "value" , what does it means? Does it shows who's better using 'pawn values'?

I'm kinda new to computer chess so sorry for the noob question..

how could anyone ot give it the maximum rateing it plays almost any win or uci engine i use the arena little book as my default opening book so i can fairly compare each engine which is  over 100 so far.arena 1.99 is good but arena 1.1 is best an you can still download it off the arena site.i have both there are a few engines 1.99 will not load but 1.1 will all in all download both along with a arena opening book an the sound file i just like a bbep on the computers move.the data base is ok also i recomend the two listed for download on the arena site.i think with the older an to me the best arena 1.1 can be used to play online however i  think arena 1.1 is worth its weight in gold try it an by the way twisted logic is a good program with a good playing style for a chess engine .when you load rybka -toga-fruit- strelka 2.0 b 2978 itas a russian clone of  fruit an rybka which you will only find on top uci a very good uci an win engine russian site.a lot of sites will not list strelka because of the clone issues however  check the ccrl rateing s its close to rybka an better than toga
