Hello, I'm Shantanu Bhambure, a professional chess player and coach from India. With over 16 years of experience and a peak FIDE rating of 2405, I'm proud to hold the esteemed title of International Master in chess.

My passion for the game extends beyond personal achievement, as I am dedicated to sharing my knowledge and expertise with others. I strive to identify the strengths and weaknesses of my students and help them overcome any obstacles they may face, including the often-overlooked psychological aspects of the game. To ensure maximum improvement, I also provide thorough homework and guidance.

My chess journey has taken me across the globe, competing in international tournaments in Mumbai, Delhi, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Kolkata, Russia, UAE, Vietnam, Spain, Italy, Serbia, Czech, Poland, Netherlands, Malaysia, Romania, Hungary, and Croatia. Notably, I placed third in the Zadar Open Chess Tournament in 2019 and earned the title of Maharashtra State Champion (Open Category) in 2017. Additionally, I have won numerous rating events and rapid events in India and have triumphed over Grandmasters and International Masters alike.

I'm also the founder of Chess Crest Academy (www.chesscrestacademy.com), where I provide online chess coaching for players of all skill levels. I believe that everyone can benefit from the intellectual and strategic challenges of the game, and I'm committed to helping my students reach their full potential.
