Lili Marlene

You may enjoy this also.  This was a popular song in 1939 Germany and during the War on all sides.  Unfortunately so many video editions of Lili Marlene in German are simply unrealistic propaganda made by children, that only know the Nationalsocialists through video games and movies.  This is a better "newer" version without that.  My guess, is that this was made sometime in the later 1980s:

This image is the Berlin Cathedral.  In news, our new team "Team Nordeuropa" is being matched against "Team Mjölnir."  You can join that here: http://www.chess.com/groups/team_match?id=280510 Mjölnir is the Nordic and German name for the Hammer of Thor, so this is a great themed match for us.  As we represent Northern Europe at its finest, and they are being the team of the Old Norse.  You can read about Mjölnir here: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mj%C3%B6lnir Thank you all.

Hello Team mates.  Here now there is a new team match for "Team Nordeuropa," and one that may be more evenly matched.  It is against "Team Black Magic."  I think we have a good opportunity to win this one. The match is here.  Register if you please.  Thank you. http://www.chess.com/groups/team_match?id=278252

This is our Fatherland, just forty years later.  Don't hold these boys repsonsible for being from Stuttgart!  It is not being their fault!

As the founder of this group, I would like to you, to welcome you to this group.  Remember, "Der Tag glühend heiß, oder eiskalt die Nacht."  I will update you with this, old Germany, with new Germany next.  This "Youtube" clip here may not be availiable in Germany or France, for old reasons, and its is historically inaccurate for many things, but enjoy Das Panzerlied!
