3/6/2013 - Out of the Box Mate in 2

  • #241

This problem illustrates the fundamental issue with chess:  The attachment of values to pieces.  I strive for proper positioning, however unfortunately worth of a piece in this game does matter, however at the upper levels of play deception can be used by sacrificing so called more valuable pieces and relying on the relationship of position and piece value rather than pieces alone to determine what must be done.
