Hi, am am not a very strong player but already play chess ~40 years (learned the game when I was 19 years old, definitely too late). I played correspondence chess longer time with not so bad results (master class), but today for me this makes no sense to play only against computers. I've seen SIM with a national Elo in chess lower than 1400....

I am a classic "IT-guy" and of course, I have powerful machines and also strong chess engines. But I am here not to play with/against engines. Not sure, why it should be forbidden to have a look into a book when I play one-day or longer, but however.

What else? I am a big fan of Grenada, great island. Therefore, I play under the Grenadian flag. But naturally, I am German, live in the center of Berlin. And of course I have some more hobbies - I like science and esp. Mathematics and Astrophysics. I like theatre and opera, (more or less) any kind of music, good books, ... a lot of stuff. And of course my wife. grin.png
